Where did you grow up?
I was born & raised in Rigby, Idaho, a small town in southeast Idaho. I spent my summers working in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and eventually moved there full time for work.
What year did you begin your career at Two Rivers Bank & Trust?
Can you please explain your current role?
My current role is Branch Manager of Westown Parkway branch. My duties are to ensure that our associates and customers have a great experience at Two Rivers Bank. Our associates are valued members of the Two Rivers’ team and I ensure that they are coached, mentored and challenged to give their best each day. Our customers can expect great customer service and products/services that will help them fulfill their financial goals.
Leading up to your current job, what other experience do you have related to the banking industry? In what year did you begin your banking career?
I started as a Teller in 1999 in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, moved into an Assistant Teller Supervisor, then to a Personal Banker role. In 2006, I accepted a transfer to Des Moines, IA as a Personal Banker; then was promoted to a Branch Manager role. I also served as a Branch Sales Manager. In November 2014, I accepted a Branch Manager role in Des Moines. I left that role in December 2016 when I accepted the Branch Manager role at Two Rivers Bank & Trust.
Do you have any special certificates / awards or designations?
I was a two-time recipient of the Circle of Excellence program for outstanding sales and service. I held a Series 6 license for a few years to assist customers with retirement planning, and became licensed to sell life insurance in Wyoming. I am licensed to sell life insurance products in Iowa.
Please highlight your community involvement.
I am an active volunteer with Central Iowa Junior Achievement & Amanda the Panda. I have also volunteered with: Habitat for Humanity, ReBuild Des Moines, team lead for March of Dimes, Chairperson and volunteer at Bras for the Cause, Meals from the Heartland, ABA’s Teach Children to Save and was a two-time guest speaker for the Des Moines Women & Money Conference.
What do you enjoy most about your role at Two Rivers Bank & Trust?
I most enjoy meeting customers and helping them find ways to build and maintain wealth. I also enjoy training, coaching and mentoring our associates to be the best they can be.
What does being a good neighbor mean to you?
It means helping our community to prosper and following life’s “Platinum” Rule at every chance, “Treat others the way they want to be treated.”
