Where did you grow up?
What year did you begin your career at Two Rivers Bank & Trust?
Can you please explain your current role?
I process all the stock and bond trades for our trust customers’ accounts. We hold bonds at BNY Mellon, and thru the FED, which need to be balanced, and/or settlements wired, on a daily basis. Dividends, interest, principal income or corporate actions are processed daily. I affirm and post trades daily, work with monthly bond interest payments and principal pay downs, and with quarterly or semi-annual dividends and interest.
Leading up to your current job, what other experience do you have related to the banking industry? In what year did you begin your banking career?
I started with this bank in 1978, then known as Hawkeye Bank & Trust, working in Trust as the secretary, and in bookkeeping 2 years when my husband’s job relocated us. After returning to the area, I came back to the bank, then Burlington Bank & Trust, in 1988. Following another relocation, I returned in 1993, working at the drive through and bookkeeping until my current position became available.
Please highlight your community involvement.
I have spent 15 years as a 4-H Leader, and work on many committees and projects thru church. I have enjoyed making and donating my handmade items to fundraisers for United Way, and Junior Achievement here at the bank.
What do you enjoy most about your role at Two Rivers Bank & Trust?
I have always loved the debit/credit balancing aspect of banking and its occasional puzzling challenges.
What does being a good neighbor mean to you?
It means we understand that serving our customers at a locally-owned bank is important, as we show pride in our commitment to them and our community.
